India came to mind, three GPs and Karthikeyan drove in two.
I'd imagine that France, Germany, Italy & Brazil would have done
quite well.
You can add Sweden to the list - 6 GPs 1973-78, Ronnie Peterson drove in >>> all six.
I'd forgotten the relatively minor countries - nicely remembered Mark
and Brian! In particular for beating the pundits with Sweden. Now we
know that the infographics are provided by AWS insights too, I guess.
It also looks as though there have only been 4 German GPs without a
German driver - 1956, 66, 69 & 90.
My guesswork-based nearest miss bet would have been Germany, but that's because my knowledge of the 50s and 60s is pretty messed up, I'm sure
I'd give loads of drivers the wrong flags.
Brazil - 47 GPs from 1973 to 2019. Fittipaldi was the biggest name
from 1973-80 (8), then Piquet 1981-84 (4), Senna 85-94 (10),
Barrichello 95-11 (17) & Massa 12-17 (6). No one since 2017.
France - 60 GPs 1950-2019, no French driver in 1965 or 2005.
I was scratching my head trying to think of French gaps, as I was sure several would exist. However, I was wrong, and the nearest miss (apart
from India) seems to have been found.
Italy - 70 GPs, 1950-2020, no Italians in 68, 69, 2012-18 (9). Note
that in 26 San Marino GPs at Imola, there was always at least one
Italian driver - it's likely that Gio will continue that sequence in
Nov.
Thanks for the thorough reply, Brian, I hope it gave you some enjoyment.
Certainly an interesting exercise :-)
I was going to post a bit more, but other things distracted me.

American drivers drove in every US GP between 1960 and 1989 (23), but
only two since then (Scott Speed, 2007 & Alexander Rossi, 2015).
Between 1976 & 1980 the Watkins Glen GP was known as the US GP East.
